Lame!Modern fahshun!
I also thought this looked like HowToBasic!!
It was a joke, he wrote it like an advertisement. Like he’s trying REALLY hard to sell you on an item you have no clue about because all you see are scissors…he even put in that slogan “I’m a firm believer in the principle of ’the right tool for the right job’.”
When you say that it’s always going to sounds like you’re trying to sell something…
About as much as you’d expect someone to be paid for advertising a discontinued product, I’m sure.
Seriously, can’t someone recommend a tool that they found handy?
Shameless Advertising!
Seriously, how much did you get paid to make that one? P:
Depends on the packaging and the knife. Stanley knives are really good at taped boxes, for example.
You usually get more cuts from all-plastic packaging than whatever you use to open them anyway.
They may also separate for cleaning/sharpening, rather than KNIFE USAGE. Not only is that a really shitty knife, you shouldn’t be using a blade and force to open or cut packaging, easy to lose a fingertip or sever a tendon.
Still though…how they do the packaging now it’s like they’re trying to keep out a fucking BEAR cause they hid a fish in there…and slathered with honey or something…this packaging is designed to keep out more then just humans, at least one would assume.
(I call it ‘Human-Resistant Packaging’)
I have a solution, however:
http://www2.fiskars.com/Shop-Products/Scissors/Cuts-More-Scissors-9#.Ut9adRDnYdU
These are what I go to whenever I need to open a box or package of any sort. The plastic sheath has a ceramic sharpening rod built-in and the two halves separate, one becoming a knife. I’m a firm believer in the principle of ‘the right tool for the right job’.
Actually in the mid 90s and early oughts toy packages were so cheap you could just peel the plastic front part off the cardboard back part and swipe the toy in like two seconds.
This is how I obtained 70% of my (now destroyed or lost through playing) Beast Wars collection.
They make packaging obnoxiously huge and impossible to open now so people won’t just steal the toy.
Ah right, the way the gif was edited and the way it previewed, I wasn’t sure.
Plus, it didn’t make sense to stab at it if he wanted the hat intact.
Then again, none of this made any sense.
No, he stabbed the plastic to make a hole so that he could cut it open.
