If it wasn’t for Big Empty, I would say without even the slightest doubt that FO3 was superior to New Vegas.
 
I could give a fuck about the desert. Its a big empty wasteland. FO3 was in DC. I’ve been there; it’s amazing and I highly recommend going. Being able to experience it in the game is likewise excellent. Some random asshole shoots me in the head: I don’t give a shit. Fallout 3 gives me Liam Neeson for a dad, has me grow up with him and all of vault 101, do that whole pesky “develop investment in the characters” thing.
 
New Vegas, I get to help the jerky law enforcement, complete fuckbag legion, a douchebag geezer on life support with delusions of grandeur, or I just fuck up everything for myself. Big complicated muddle that refuses to let you reach any kind of genuine compromise or legit good ending along the lines of “turn it over to the Followers with the protection of the NCR, without having to kill House because while he’s basically crazy old and power hungry like President Eden was, he could help make a better future as long as he wasn’t in charge”.
 
Fallout 3, I provide free, clean drinking water for the entire region with the potential to do so elsewhere with the technology, the first step to potentially rebuilding society as it was before the war. Clean water will help grow clean crops, with the help of the scientists who just needed a decent source of clean water to advance their hydroponics. I help the Brotherhood of Steel (and not just the Brotherhood, the part of it that isn’t a bunch of assholes and who actually care about helping the common man) make the Capital Wasteland a beacon of hope and happiness. Like a motherfucking HERO.

I had an ideal to write my own fallout mlp crossover a while back been thinking to bring it back.
 
Would have the super alicorns 20x more powerful than Foe ones and The Chosen one would have threw spears in everyone’s eye

@d715 It was both terrible and good at the same time. The world/lore is kind of bad but reading just the pip bits alone and maybe a few flashbacks is good.  
It feels like chopping it nearly in half would have actually made it better.  
Sometimes tolkeinesque over-exposition is not a good idea.
 
also did anyone else feel the dark comedy of NV was approaching Boy&Dog Ellison at times? Man I love the beef quest. Pretty hilarious no matter how you finish it, and full of colourful characters all over the place.
 
…Actually, come to think of it FoE felt superiour to 3, I liked the characters better, I liked the lack of incomprehensible retardation by eliminating the daddy angle and having an actual workable endgoal (as opposed to lets purify the water when we still can’t grow shit), I liked Homage more than 3dog, because he’s a complete tard when he talks to you (thanks dad you ruined a potentially fun character), and I liked the ponifications of the various factions better as opposed to ‘cackling evil’ or ‘fucking evil’ pick one. It seems like she was maybe playing a bit of NV before she started writing it out.

Fallout is at it heart a dark comedy with a fairly idealist  
what other game can you crank call the bad guys? And your actions that help others improve the world and it slowly gets better with each game.

Fallout E was just Fallout 3 (the worst canon one) and threw in all the plots of the others for poorly though out reasons.
 
Like why is the Pony!Master just sitting on her ass for 200 years, when he was active in Fallout 1? The main point of Fallout games is the world doesn’t totally revolved around you and yet one character did everything 4 people in 4 different regions in a span 160 years of did within 1 year
 
Why go into such pointless detail about the War? The WHOLE POINT is the War Whys and Hows doesn’t matter anymore. Also the only clues of what started the Nukes was China was lossing (badly since the US was attacking Beijing) or Bored AI
 
So why the fuck did the writer make the Zebras villain sues?

Where as Fall of Equestira is pretty much a man’s rape fantasy turned up to 12 (and before anyone goes nuts, no I have no issues with the blogs existence), Fallout Equestria is well, Fallout with ponies. And has a ton of spinoffs.
