Took me a while to get around drawing this. I ended up coloring the initial sketch I did after failing a couple of times with trying to redraw it. Some mistakes here and there, as Fuzzy pointed out on Tumblr Velvet should be a bit closer to Calamity here.
I also tried a bit of a different tone on Calamitys coat color, not entirely sure if it works or not. It looks better on paper but the scanner kinda changes it slightly. I feel im getting better on coloring dark coats though, takes two shades of gray to layer and tone the black properly.
Anyways, comments and feedback are extremely welcome!
Also who should be next? Kinda thinking it should about someone from Project Horizons again.

No way! The “You’re a real artist” was just an compliment, after all, I’ve seen lots of tradicional works that beats digital art o.o
It may have been a miscommunication. Your initial post essentially stated that trditional art was not real art.
Sometimes I do prefer tradicional art myself! I just tought that the colors would look more lovely in digital art, but the way he draws is very beautiful… I’m really sorry if I said something wrong or offensive. >.<
Duuude, that is NOT a thing to tell someone. If Zubias wanted to draw digital art, I’m sure he would.
I’m a digital artist myself (hell, if you don’t recognise my name, just hit the FoE tag, you’ll find one by me pretty swiftly) and, sure, I can attest that it’s a great medium… but there are many, many reasons why people may prefer traditional art. It always was, and still is, the true measure of an artist in the eyes of the masses.
Digital art is just one means, not the be all and end all of art.
Ouch, I’m sorry! But thank you darling, I sure will. x3
hi, OP here, I’m not Zubias, so you might have a better shot at reaching him by commenting at the dA source!
