It’s no longer about ponies, rules or race. It’s an endless series of meetings, performed by ponies and other species. Friendship, and its consumption of time, has become a well-oiled machine.

ID tagged ponies carry ID tagged gifts, use ID tagged party toys. Nanomachines inside their bodies enhance and regulate their friend-making abilities. Genetic control. Information control. Emotion control. Party control. Everything is monitored, and kept under control.
 
Friendship has changed. The age of deterrence has become the age of control. All in the name of averting catastrophe from fury and mass destruction. And he who controls the party, controls history.
