She’s based on the one from Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, not Ghostbusters.

Hmmmm,but thinking about it the thing with “Grace” is that it can work as a pony name since it’s just a simple word.It doesn’t necessarily have to point any reference or person.
In fact,it can be used as a second name like “insert name Grace” or “Graceful insert name”.
Just an example.
Just because it’s based off a person means we should give her the same name. At lest the other one was ponified. seriously this fandom is bad with naming.
I think they changed the name because of a Tweet from Dave Polsky talking about who she’s based on.
