There needs to be an episode where Spike is tired of all this bs and strikes back. The only this is this Spike episode needs to be good. A feat I have yet to see.

But you also have to remember who finds the gems in the first place.
Before Spike,She either had to get her own hooves dirty or used a device to take them out or simply have someone else do it.
She certainly wasn’t less productive BACK THEN.
Note how she never even toutched a single bit in the entire episode.
Then remember who digs up all her gems.
