Last years Christmas was overshadowed by the death of my uncle which had occurred a few months previous, this year my grandmother spent Christmas day in the hospital but is thankfully out and recovering rapidly.
For all of those who have lost a family member and now have that empty space the next time the holidays come around, the one that tears those emotional wounds right back open if they’ve had the chance to start healing, I know some of what that feels like and my heart goes out to you.
