I’d never do it on a Christmas tree!
Pingas
Eh, some parts of it were “to much” for me. (Like sleeping with all the old ladies, and such.) I did think it was funny near the beginning when he got in a verbal debate with some guy he was fighting.
Zohan is a classic you pleb.
I still say this movie wasn’t that bad though. “Zohan” was worse, I felt.
Is it really? I heard it took like six years to make Tangled and they needed 300something computers just to render her hair.
And wtf was up with Treasure Planet. It came out after Atlantis, but it’s CGI looks like it came from the people who did that Mortal Kombat cartoon.
Yeah, it does make you wonder. Main problem is, 3D is cheaper, and quicker to make then 2D. 3D movies like “Tangled,” and “Frozen,” also did much better then 2D ones like “Treasure Planet,” and such. (Though, I hear “Princess & the Frog” did pretty well, and was pretty good.) I hope some day 2D makes a come-back.
Same here. I had a real hate boner for movies like Tangled until I actually watched them. They’re good, great even, but I honestly wonder what they’d be like in classic 2d disney style.
Yeah, I mean, it’s not the best animated-feature, or Adam Sandler movie, I’ll admit (nothing beats Billy Madison & Happy Gilmore) and some jokes were a bit cringe-worthy… buuuut it was still amusing, had a few nice characters, funny/nice moments, a few good/funny songs, and as you said had good 2D animation.
(Nothing against CGI/3D, but I really miss 2D animated movies personally…)
Still, it’s got a few laughs, and fuck the animation is beautiful.
the songs were not bad as well
I guess blood & gore is more your thing, eh? ;)
how could i not hate this?
Then that’s fine, I don’t care if people have their own personal reasons to dislike it, as long as they respect that I liked it.
Whitey (the old man pictured here) was odd, yes, but that’s actually something I find amusing, and likeable about him. Makes him a bit flawed, and kinda like the “nice yet kinda eccentric old guy who does alot of nice things for people” basically.
Kinda a “Do not judge a book by it’s cover” thing.
What if your opinions of the movie just happens to match up with what NC said?
I can’t stand the movie for, like he put it, them making Whitey so freaky you would endup laughing at him just to end up filling sorry for him.
Just make him a normal and likable guy that just just ends up with no one thanking him for what he does.
I liked the old man character here. (Who was also voiced by Sandler.)
Also, if you’re getting your opinions from the guywithglasses.com troupe, rather then making your own, then you might as well agree with CR about MLP.
@RockyleRick
The criticism over “product placement” is ironic actually, because according to the DVD commentary, they actually asked the companies permission to use real stores/products in the movie for the mall scene, because they always felt it was unrealistic to just make up fake ones, and such… (And I kinda agree, to many movies do that.)
They also DIDN’T get payed to use said stores/products, and such.
I didn’t even need that review to know it was shit. I saw the trailers when it first came out.
