The PDF line notes are pretty good though.
I hope they release it on CD or a lossless format, but I get the sinking feeling that won’t happen because of reasons.
I will say it is superbly mastered! As in, it actually sounds better than I recall it sounding on the show. Subjectively it does not sound like a “loudness wars” victim; the mix sounds rich and dynamic.
I bought it in support, but especially as an app-store-only album, it could have been better. At least it’s not an iTunes exclusive.

Is there any evidence there will be a physical CD, or is this speculation?
Let’s be honest, we knew it wouldn’t be too likely given the target audience and Hasbro’s general merchandise strategies. This isn’t an anime or Disney feature film.

100% agreed. If this were available in any venue other than iTunes, I’d have already bought it, but iTunes doesn’t like my creaky old desktop, and my laptop runs Ubuntu Linux, so…

Valid criticisms, though I don’t think it justifies a zero out of ten. I’d love to see a soundtrack with instrumentals, alternate versions, Pinkie’s under-a-minute ditties, and a complete “Art of the Dress”, but sadly that’s not likely to happen. If this collection is successful enough, though, that dream collection might get elevated from “snowball’s chance in Florida” to “Cubs winning the pennant” in terms of how likely it is to happen.
