Ah, yes. The time-old tradition of taking scribbly lines representing written words in a cartoon and turning it into a literal translation of what was written.

@CrossfireInvader The Newspapers from “Ponyville Confidential” would be a better starting point for making a pony language. The cake can easily be attributed to bad penmanship.

Actually, it’s just that mrs. Cake can’t write all that well with icing…  
Her “welcome to our fair town, Princess Celestia” cake had to be destroyed to avoid getting the whole Ponyville accused of high treason.
