(cue next class of magic kindergarten being attended…On the MOOOOOON)
I’m gonna make a comic where Fluttershy starts to sing “Now wait just a minute, there’s another siiide to thiiis…” and AJ racks Twilight like a pump shotgun and starts blastin’ bats, ‘cuz “Naw, there ain’t. This farm is mah livelihood an’ these critters are threatenin’ mah ability to feed mah family. Ah’m runnin’ ‘em out or gunnin’ ‘em down, pick which one y’wanna help with or git out th’way.”
…Twilight seriously needs to step off the Sewing Life magic before she fuses Apple Bloom with Winona, though, that $#!+’$ gettin’ out of hoof.
If anything the real moral is the same as TMPP, Lesson Zero, and Swarm of the Century, keep Twilight’s magic away from living beings Celestia dammit!
Srsly, Twilight, stahp with this. Think of what happened to that poor frog when the fruitbats appeared! In fact, perhaps the bird and frog were what led them to Ponyville in the first place. Nice going there Twilight, you and your wanton display of magicks.
@SemiJuggao
So far the boo-sheet moral in BATS! has been the only thing that’s angered me this season, aside from the ongoing problem of Spike being alternately forgotten and mistreated, but he has indeed rolled like a Li’l Boss in Power Ponies and Simple Ways.
Yep…
-A season-spanning story arc
-Th Ancient Castle is having more plot-relevance
-Daring Do is real
-The CMCs have ‘Hearts As Strong As Horses’
-Mane-iac has an army; we have a Saddle Rager
-Flutterbat was cool
-New Rarity episode!
~~Coco Pommel is a top contender for “Best Pony”
-Pinkie Apple Pie had one of my favorite songs in the series
-DERPY RETURNS!!!
-JOHN DE-FREAKING LANCIE!!!
~~“WEIRD AL” YANKOVIC!!!
-Seeing Rarity go insane over a guy was hilarious (Spike handled it like a boss)
…Halfway into the season, and we still have the Equestria Games, and more, to look forward to!
I was confused by that as well; everywhere else I’ve seen anyone use “Mane Seven”, someone has come along to correct them to “Main Seven”, for what I thought would be obvious reasons.
I agree. It’s a little too soon to declare that everything’s just fine at this point.
@TexasUberAlles
I have to say that, though I greatly enjoyed the season opener and have reasonably high hopes for the rest of the season, the description does seem both a bit premature and a bit confrontational. Given how tiresome the uploads and comments of the haters were (setting aside the more reasonable opponents, who I respect even if I largely disagree with them) I can hardly begrudge you some payback, though I still think it’s a poor idea.
I have plenty of “decent discussions” with people of differing opinions, I just have no patience for those who claim to be “fans of the show” but never have any comment on it other than bitching about how much they hate [ whatever ]. Why are they here? You’re talking “sad” in defense of people who have nothing better to do with their lives than go to a site for fans of a show and spend all their time whining about how terrible it is.
I’m frankly unimpressed with sanctimonious lecturing, but you’re right, I should have left the neener-neenering comment off of it. It honestly didn’t occur to me that anyone would take seriously something that twee until I saw that someone had added the op is trying to start shit tag.
…I don’t think you want to do this, bro.
You may be a great husband.
It doesn’t mean you’re a bad friend.
It doesn’t mean you can’t get along with most people.
It doesn’t mean you hold a hatred of “normal” people.
It doesn’t mean you don’t own a fedora.It just means you’ve been legally bound to a woman for 15 years. The circumstances of the binding varies from person-to-person.
…surely, you didn’t think the “haters” would see the art and admit their “fault.” And surely, you didn’t think that what you said after posting it wouldn’t draw some remarks like mine.
You should learn this, especially at your age:
The best approach to a lot of issues is not doing anything about it. This is one of those cases.
Draw the picture.
Leave out the comment.
And no one would have said anything about you. Just sit on that for a while, and consider it.
I’ll be sitting on my own hands, because I probably shouldn’t have said anything in the first place.
–
I like the art though. I may follow you.
Still, so far, so good. Also, I have another season of JoJo to look forward to in another month. :)
Look out, we got an anonymous badass over here.
@Verbose
Yes, such a jerk for actually liking this show and being excited for an awesome new season, and not having any patience for haters.
…Oh, hey, as long as we’re talkin’ personality issues, how married-for-fifteen-years are you?
This.
Now I’m hopeful with the first two episodes, and I have every reason to have faith in DHX, but any show can begin to bite it (and generally will at some point.)
But to say two episodes in that “Everything turned out just fine” is premature. Let’s just enjoy what we’re getting.
Also, yes, the artist comes off as a jerk. That will probably cause the artist more problems in life than any “neighsayers.”
