I’m sticking with Windows 7 until MS decide to drop all this compulsory touch-screen crap and let people have the choice of touchscreen or a more classic-looking/feeling UI.
Maybe they’ll do that with Windows 10? :)
Ah yes I see now. I said 8 can have only two or three applications on screen at a time, because the new UI sucks cocks. You on the other hand retorted that you had five on screen, without specifying. On the other hand, if I’d paid a little more attention I’d know you’d already said you used 7. So I’d say we both made mistakes here.

I have no experience with anything to do with Windows 8. I was talking about just what I had on-screen for my Windows 7 comp.
Yeah, they can’t call it that anymore officially, but I’m like screw that I’mma keep calling it Metro.
You know, the new UI in Win8 that may be great for tablets but just doesn’t work right on a regular system?

And? I have five open right now, and with creative window resizing I can have them all visible at once!
And 8.1 can have three applications on screen at the same time!

Good luck. They’re pushing the Metro UI like a snatcher pushes a baby carriage, and I understand 8.1 removed certain parts that 3rd party start menu replacements required.
I’m going to put off Windows 8 until they fix several glaring issues (like the start menu).
Just because 14*7=98 doesn’t mean it’s 14 times better…
On the same hardware it’s only three times better… :P
