Even browsing through the oldest pics of DB(pics uploaded before the PB apocalypse), comments were already scarce.

I think once PB shuts down for good, and people have to stop re-uploading from there, people will comment more on the new content. Plus settling in and all.

Funny comments, images, theories, debates, story snippets and rp, these are the lifeblood of the -booru community. I think that alot of us are dismayed at losing all the comments and threads we’d been following on Ponibooru. It’s either hard or impossible to recreate some of the magic that came about naturally.
 
I hope once we’re all more settled in and comfortable here on Derpibooru, our comment community can grow and flourish again.

I miss the show so much
Maybe people don’t have time to comment that much? Derpibooru can get 1000 new images per day. A month ago when we started to migrate here we were uploading about 2500 images every day.

Commenting doesn’t really affect traffic as much as uploading, doesn’t it? I mean, even simple “d’awwww” comments wouldn’t hurt~
 
Don’t get me wrong though, I am extremely, extremely grateful DB is here for us. I stopped frequenting PB about a year ago, but was still heartbroken to discover that it was shut down a couple weeks ago. I loved the community after all.
 
So I wouldn’t know what to do if DB weren’t here~ Thanks again DB for accepting us!

People either learned how to block unwanted images or just got along with them.
 
Less argueing = Less comments total
 
Many pictures are also reposts from Ponibooru and why should i or anyone else comment on them?

Half the essence of PB was in the comments~ I mean, this is what strengthened our community. Why don’t we get lively over here too?
