This guy again! Seriously I don’t think there is one comment in which I disagree with you.
It’s probably better to say that MLPFIM is as much about Twilight as Gilligan’s Island is about Gilligan. She is the central focus, but there are 5 (6 if you include Spike) central characters that have been fully fleshed out that the focus doesn’t not need to stay on Twilight every episode. But the show, as a whole, is basically putting the viewer in Twilight’s place to introduce us and explore this world.
Season 1 was forced to shoe-horn Twilight into every episode. Season 2 and 3 both had episodes were Twilight didn’t appear at all: Sisterhooves S, Family App Day, Putting YHD, Sleepless iP, and Apple Family R.
I disagree with about 90% of your comment, but I also know there’s no way to convince you otherwise, so I’m not even going to go there. I just want to say that, even though I’m almost sure it’s a typo, “Cadense” is a pretty good term for referring to Chrysalis in disguise.
There’s a difference between an observational main character and an actual, singular main character.
MLP:FiM has the former, but it doesn’t have the latter. All 6 of them are main characters.
In S3 they forgot all about this, and started kissing Twilight’s ass whenever she did something good OR bad. Remember the last songs of Crystal Empire and MMC? Weren’t they just praising how much of a perfect godsend Twilight was?
The only reason she’s the focus character in the finale’s is that she is the most easily lead by Celestia.
The girl is completely dependent on Celestia’s existence. She isn’t even CAPABLE of persisting without Celestia’s approval.
After her own brother and all her friends leave when she tries to confront evil Cadense the stupidest way possible, she looks merely regretful.
The second later when Celestia says she’s dissapointed, her entire world collapses.
Speaking of this picture, is Twilight ever going to be in the same scene as Scootaloo in S4? Didn’t think so.
I love Twilight’s character, but they make her so boring and hatable when they treat her like she’s the only important one.
Don’t give him attention. It’s what he wants.
It hasn’t been surprising since at least shortly after MMC aired and Meghan McCarthy said she considered it to be virtually the first part of a three-part storyline. And considering Twilight’s been the main character of each of the previous season-opening two-parters before this, it really should have never been a surprise.

Yes, it was a magical ascension and all that but I’m pissed at Twilight suddenly being proficient despite never being able to fly up to that point.
Magic. Ain’t no way conventional biology’s going to give wings that small the ability to lift a horse. Even a tiny pastel horse.
