Spoiling JUST in case: Rarity’s asked about having wings, and she says (a pain to design for) and compliments her friends Twi, RD, and FS for having wings - and then Spike asks “but what about me?” and Rarity goes “even you too, Spike”.

Please elaborate on the source for your claims.
Because I don’t remember anything every suggesting or even hinting at Spike being an earthdragon, other than the fact that 2 random and completely unnatural transformatioins, that looked nothing like each other, lacked wings.
If he grows wings as part of his natural life cycle (which is entirely possible) it wouldn’t contradict anything other than some people’s own fanon…such the earth dragon thing.

Yea, I was more just in case the “spike with wings” proves true. (Princess Twilight isn’t a spoiler much anymore since that’s S3)

Seriously I wouldn’t mind if Spike grows wings. I was actually expecting him to get wings someday, but then Twilight got them instead…which was a ‘little’ unexpected :p And was that a second of the S4 intro?
When Spike grew the last time he didn’t had wings either.
