There wasn’t any, trolls tried to rouse some (Derpy atracted too much troll attention) but everyone was just “ah, cool”. It kind of became an in joke then.
It is sad how some people just swallow it whole and think it’s something that happened, tho…
There wasn’t really much of a fan war over it, just a bit of grumbling for a week or two while people got used to the idea.
