A little while back on Ponibooru I posted the first image I ever did of Widjet, in it he was working on parts for a motorcycle and someone asked how a pony could ride one. I designed controls that allow just that.
Why? one might ask. Because I come up with stupid crap like this all the time…
The controls are pretty self explanatory, except the blip clutch, some might wonder what that is, or means. Since the throttle and front brake are on the same side a pony can’t use the throttle to match gears on downshifts, something that is very important, especially when moving at speed. So I added a second lever to the left side that does both clutch and a bit of throttle, so they can downshift without worrying about sliding the rear wheel.
The motorcycle is NOT hand drawn, I would never claim that on something that detailed. I could have hand drawn it, but it would have taken far too long, and it was just for a reference sketch so there was no point. I lined over a photo of a very real 1972 Yamaha CS5E, I actually own this bike, which is why I used it.
