I was sort of hoping for one of the Big Two, but with these artists, this might just be better. The key here was to get talented bronies involved, and Hasbro seems to have accomplished just that. Those German comic strips were from some random kids’ magazine, so I wouldn’t count those as a serious effort by Hasbro.
 
Price’s drawings are excellent and remind me of some of the storyboard art. This is a very good thing: even some of the best fanart sometimes retains some stiffness due to referencing the source Flash animation. This art on the other hand feels flexible and “cartoony.”
 
I look forward to this interpretation and am willing to deal with a comic store snob to procure a hard copy.
