I actually didn’t remember that line from the fairy tale at the time, so I didn’t consider that Equestrian astronomy doesn’t allow for a daytime moon. XD

Well in our world, sure. But if I’m getting the Nightmare Moon story right not lowering the moon prevents the sun from rising in Equestria.

In Luna’s defense, the moon can often be seen in the daytime sky. I often walk outside in the afternoon (usually when I’m coming home from work) and frequently see the moon out while I’m walking.
