My high school had pizza with orange sauce. There was never an explanation…
It was terrible at my school.
I hail from farm country, our mac n cheese had cheese alright….
or it could have been some form of cheese flavored industrial adhesive… not sure but I know many could not swallow the stuff cause it was to thick so they wouldn’t eat it.
Also if you let it get cold it would harden over and look a lot like that stuff up above with large noodles underneath looking like they were being smothered by a sheet of plastic.
My cafeteria never had Mac and Cheese but it can’t be that bad. School lunch was never was terrible as people make it to seem, at least in NYC.
OH god remember cafeteria lunch macaroni and cheese?
And it tasted like neither macaroni nor cheese?
