IIRC, The artist also said he was getting way too many asks from people trying to insert their characters by asking to fight or something, or asking repetitive questions like what her favorite weapons were. It gradually slipped into more random post, he had a small crisis where he began feeling guilty about how the blog had turned out and briefly considered shutting the blog down. He changed his mind and ended up fully embracing the more random direction the blog had been going, and any drama seems to have been left behind.

Basically, Backy started life as an assassin. Over time that’s faded into next to nothing-ness, and now it’s pretty much funny reactions and lots of ass.
 
It’s a good improvement.

As I recall, Backy started out as a sort of ‘ninja-pony in training’ thing.  
That element seems to have mostly faded out, but the cutie mark has stuck around.
