Look, I’m a fan of people choosing to be virgins. I feel that the fact that it’s on the rise (or seems to be from the statistics I’ve seen) is cause for celebration.
 
But these people… first of all, I doubt it’s a choice. As I mentioned in another post (screencapped and uploaded here), I’m fairly certain that they’d blame the “friend zone.” Secondly, if you don’t know anything about verbal seduction or even the signs of arousal, please don’t talk about it.

They seriously tried to use THAT as their “proof”? For fuck’s sake, that’s something you might see an elderly couple doing in a public park. I hope it’s dawned on these DWM people that they are complete and utter psychopaths.

It’s actually not even rape play, but any time that there’s a comic featuring BDSM or roleplaying or really any comic that features a situation that everyone that’s ever had sex would recognize (such as Molly pulling out a toy that’s a little too large for Nurse Redheart and the latter reacting with shock, in spite of the fact that that’s the punchline and the comic ends with her pulling out the toy and Nurse Redheart being shocked), they cry rape. If consent is merely implied to have been given? It’s rape. Nevermind quality writing where that doesn’t need to happen because, hey, you’ve shown them both actively participating.
 
But the worst? The worst is when they use this comic as any sort of evidence of anything negative. I have had that referenced twice now as “proof” that APM is host to rape.

Really? REALLY?! This was all about some rapeplay comic between i’m assuming molestia and twilight? That’s just a sad display boys and girls.

I honestly don’t know how TRS is moderated, but good old SA is a bastion for moderators banning because they didn’t find a joke funny, or thought somebodies user name was too meme-y, or they were having a bad day at work. I’d frankly be (pleasantly) surprised if the pinecone didn’t fall far from the tree.

Neither are that big of an issue, especially the latter, but one of the things that made me quit the thread was I was just getting mobbed by replies, including people overinterpretting what I was saying or asking for evidence that I had already provided. Honestly, if enough level-headed and knowledgeable people that weren’t extremely pro-DWM had been posting with me, it wouldn’t have been an issue and I’d still be posting in there now.

By the way, to expand upon this, imagine if the view of the pro-DWM people about the anti-DWM people was that we were all in favor of that one particular image of Molestia and Pinkie Pony’s OC.
 
Now, that’s certainly the view some have of us, but most anyone reading this should know that that’s not an accurate view, and not all pro-DWM people see us like that. We shouldn’t be so quick to dismiss them, either.

I’m actually talking with one now over PM and she’s extraordinarily level-headed, as is another with whom I had a discussion on the study I worked to debunk while I was there. Momar has been working hard to keep the peace (and, in spite of claims to the contrary, placing warnings on and temporarily banning people from the pro-DWM side), and there are others that deserve a lot of credit for the rational view of things.
 
There’s a lot more to it than the screenshots people have been posting.
