Nope, I dont hate him because Hes bland. Soarin is as bland as him Yet I dont hate soarin. What I hate about him is that he is like every single Male love intrest (With a few exception) there is. He is almost the same as that guy from kim possible, they even have the same haircutt.

I thought he had charm enough. A lot of the same people who insist he had no character and was too bland are the same people who probably though he took up too much of the movie as is, and giving him more screentime to help develop him would be a waste.
 
He loves music, he’s generally relaxed and confident but being around a girl he likes can make him as awkward as Twilight, he does the right thing when someone’s in trouble, he’s willing to risk rejection twice… there’s a fair bit there. Although Flash as a Pony will likely be a bit different, if only because a high school student and a royal guard have very different lifestyles.
 
He could really benefit from a slice of life episode or two to help get to know him.

The writers didn’t even tried. They obviously did their worst to make Hasbro think about it when adding romance to anything MLP related.

Don’t care if he’s bland. Twilight blushing and being adorkable is more then enough for me.
