dude, i am latino american born in the 90s, telling me the plot of one of the most important animes of my generation is like teaching Twilight to read books.
Random comment: because Spike and Shaoran have the same VA it means Spike is doomed to fail at love confessions
They call it that because it has no name or power attached to it. In the second movie it’s revealed that it’s meant to seal the nothing card and transform it (in it’s original form it’s the opposite to the creative powers of the other 52 cards), but the card will also take the feeling that’s most important to somebody at the time the card is sealed
Spoilers: The fact that it looks like it would be the love card it actually a red herring; during the movie Sakura worries that the card will take her love for Shaoran (he had confessed his feelings to her before returning to Hong Kong, but she hadn’t managed to tell him before he left, so she waited until he came to visit so she could tell him in person). In the end the card doesn’t take her love for Shaoran, but Shaoran’s hope that Sakura loved him back (because Sakura had used so many of her cards that day it had put a big enough strain on her magic that Shaoran’s magic was stronger at that moment) That’s why it ended up as the hope card
Wasn’t planning to, sorry. I can if you want me to, though.
