Actually I think it’s a Weddell seal, not a sea lion. Though it could be a young Southern elephant seal.

Otters. But with Dash or Twilight, or Lyra or Cloudchaser, not by all that much.

Giant otters (the first image) don’t photograph well. They’re actually much cuter in real life. Still probably the least cute otter, but cute.

It’s only the frustrated adolescent male otters, and even they rarely kill the baby seals. In what species aren’t the frustrated adolescent males jerks? Young adult male seals sometimes rape female sea otters too. It’s a mutual thing between the two species.

All 13 species are cute. I wouldn’t put sea otters at the top; they’re only the best known, not the cutest. I’d say the Asian small-clawed otter is the most cute. Round-faced, pudgy, pouty-lipped, able to juggle multiple objects with its paws, and barely larger than a mature male domestic ferret. Plus they live in close-knit family groups and are often found sleeping in piles of otters. They’re almost the definition of cute. (Now, when you figure they’re cousins of badgers and wolverines, and that cute, puffy face is round and pudgy because of the giant temporalis muscles they use to crush prey bones and all, they are not the definition of cuddly. But the question was cute, not cuddly.)

And all thirteen have nasty temperaments and sharp teeth. These are animals in the same family as wolverines and honey badgers.
