Former general of the Praetorian Special operations unit, General Hoofnoir was a specialy bred earth pony fused with greater strength and durability. not much was known about him except that his decendants still alive to this day are High Teck, Jenny, and Celestia’s own son, Odin.
 
his armor was designed to look more like an enclosed roman helmet, due to their job, Praetorian ponies armor was painted with a dark blue color scheme, this was to show they don’t operate within the traditional Equestrian Royal guard or Military, nore do they operate in the Lunar ROyal guard, although theres much misconception due to the colors that they operate primarely for Princess luna, while in Reality they operate for both Princess Celestia and Princess Luna.
 
The armor’s design was changed to be more closed, as these ponies get into more fights then the royal guard. the armor is much heavier, the helmet is etched with ancient Equestrian glyphs to either be used for future enchantments.
