Twi gets called abusive for giving Spike a little smack on his head cause he said something thoughtless which ends up hurting Shy (Cause she realizes she sucks at flying and Twi/RD tried to cover that up), but when Spike gives her a little smack in Equestria Girls for being thoughtless and saying “everypony” NOBODY calls Spike abusive.
Is that what feminists means with the patriarchy? That if a woman and a man do the same deed, the woman gets blamed but the man gets off scott-free?
Well, typical fan thoughts, who can’t avoid using insults, all of you are so predictable :) And yeah, i’m cool and passionless like this guy
First off: Your argument is wrong.
Second off: You are not a very clever pony.
Third off: Spike is not showing little girls that their husbands will do all their work for them.
Fourth off: Seriously, the rage and autism here.
Fifth off: I like numbers divisible by 5.
DO NOT ANTAGONIZE LAUREN FAUST FOR HER HEROIC DEEDS, FELLOW BACKGROUND PONY.
He’s got some messed up bits. Frankly, being a different species than the rest of the Manes is probably the least of his problems, although not exploring his nature as a dragon is still weird.
You’d think that at least Twilight would be interested in that. Then again, at the beginning of the series she was all about the magic of unicorns, and she hasn’t actually changed that much in a lot of ways.
When you really start to think about his character, Spike comes across as someone who would act a lot more messed up in a different kind of show. Like Tigger.
He does. He’s actually quit in two different episodes.
His need for validation is… decidedly unhealthy and results in him talking back to Twilight far less than he should, but he’s not her child.
If he was, we’d see horribly ineffective over parenting rather than treating him like a walking fax machine.
If she was just his boss, he’d have the option of quitting.
endure* not endear. Forgive my madness.
She’s not an abusive parent, she’s just a jackhole boss.
oh dear. How unfortunate that you must endear people overanalyzing things.
I NEVER have to put up with that.
Are you kidding?
Twilight slaps him on the head to get him to stop being a smartass, and guys like Mayojar still won’t shut up about it.
Yea, he’s totally at risk.
She’s abusing him. If Dash or Rarity were doing that people would complain about how horrible they are.
Twilight just gets a free pass
There’s a diffrence between “abuse” and “discipline.”
You don’t want Spike to end up like Diamond Tiara do you?
Looks like Hurricane Fluttershy.
Of course, Phillips!
What was I thinking?
If anything, I expect her to be Super Dave.
