It seems unnecessary. In the cases where the OC’s name tag could be confused for a canon character or another image detail, you can just do what Lamia does (eg, “Lamia (OC)”)
I for one think oc:x is a good idea for a tag
A lot of OC’s have names as tags.
Could you expand a bit on that part about “people looking for attention.”?
We already have Artist:x, we sure as hell don’t need oc:x on every picture, or people looking for attention.
