Hey, maybe it’s just me who’s so pessimistic, but I usually spend my time on Spotify and every now and then I’d check the official MLP account. I just checked the account and, well, in the description it said the g5 Mane 6 and promoted the fifth generation (ANG & MYM). And now they have removed that, leaving the description that appears in the screenshot.
I knew that at some point they would remove something from g5, but I didn’t expect it to be now; and even if it’s a tiny thing, that’s how the signs start, right?

sorry pal, i think it’s true but i also know that they’re not going to just abandon MLP like that, i just hope that the next generation or whatever comes out has more love from Hasbro

And the worst thing is that they have more famous franchises than MLP, so we are lost for a looooong time.
Sadly you are right, even if it has always been like this, after the first seasons of FIM, Hasbro was only interested in farming money. Because, of course, their most successful generation produced more fans, and that in turn made them more money. It’s obvious that they are obsessed with that. They got stuck with the success of FIM that they are trying to replicate the same thing, using the same ideas, to milk it and try to get back to that (Pony Life, Gen 5)
And even if their plan was to create Gen 5 with references to g4, but with their own stuff, they didn’t really put in the effort and much less, love what they were doing.
And that is why they always resort to nostalgia in an attempt to avoid losing more money.
At some point this cycle will end, it always does, and they will surely create new and better content, if failure doesn’t reach them first.
Hasbro doesn’t care anymore is about it all about the money and nothing else matter. Hasbro as a whole has lost their ways of entertaining its fans, Hasbro is a billion dollar company and they are seeing how scam and lies just to getting what they want and are careless about who they hurt in the end.
I hope so, at least in comics, the story can’t be left so unfinished:(
They defiantly need a new CEO
It’s difficult because MLP is a franchise of many things, so the only thing that would save MLP would be Hasbro itself, maybe a new CEO or someone who has better ideas for the franchise.
I really don’t know if they ever plan to revive G5, but I hope they do justice in the future, because G5 didn’t deserve to die so soon, especially when they had more plans for the future.
Yeah, a small part of me is still holding on to a sliver of hope that maybe Hasbro will realize G5 has people who love it, and it deserves a proper conclusion
Hasbro is always implicit about what the next content will be, like a kind of fishing rod to hook us and catch us.
Obviously the franchise isn’t over, but it seems like G5 already did, and even if I want to keep my hopes up for something, they’re probably already secretly creating separate content, about ponies, surely another generation or something else that they won’t say for now
