FoE Fanart: Enclave Ruins
Heres a artwork featuring Rina Flightline and Wing Crasher exploring the ruins of the Enclave army, as the duo are collecting parts or looking around for suspicious activity…
and now for story:
Location: Enclave Ruins, near New Appleloosa about a few miles away
Time: 1pm
20 years have gone past, and parts of the Equestrian wasteland are regaining its greenery back to life, thanks to the help of the new Elements of Harmony.
20 years have passed, the NCR have gotten rid of any remaining threats, including preventing a new “Red-Eye” to appear again. So far, they have done a pretty good job, for now…
Near New Applelosa, is the remains of a battle that happened long ago, a battle that no one will forget. Large boat-like structures towers over some of the smaller rubble, and there’s a few that’s on its side or upside down. Most of them are torn apart by some wastelander who sells scrap from the area.
vertibucks, which are originally designed for flying over and carrying small troops, now stranded in the dirt and sand. Some of the propellers were torn out, and just like the large and now destroyed cloud ships, those vehicles attract anyone who salvaged something else. There is a creepy and ominous rumor that some of the radio in both the vertibucks and cloudships are still working, and voices can be heard…
Multiple bodies, either covered by steel armor, or just a skeleton with few skin left, are scattered across the area. Some of their helmets were ripped apart, feathers withered away, and the signature enclave mark which sits on the flank of the suites are either around or taken.
Walking through the ruins, Rina Flightline and Wing Crasher are looking around, due to some weird sighting near there. By weird sighting, the locals of New Appleloosa claims that some of the bodies moved a bit, odd figures in the clouds, and include what thought to be a sound of a jet engine going off.
“You think some kids are playing a prank on some of the town folks?” Rina’s speakers filtered out of her now salvaged and rebuilt suit, which is a bit of a echo in it.
Wing Crasher turned around and spoke “I don’t think any kids don’t want to do some pranks by using some corpses of a once destructive army. The enclave almost killed the entire town”
“It could be a drunk creature” Rina responded
“true..”
Rina then spotted a graffiti on a vertibuck, with the saying “FUCK THE ENCLAVE”. The wording looks like it was there a few months ago, as the art is a bit dried up by the sun. Grass is also seen blooming to certain parts of the ruins, at least the area don’t have to be that intimidating.
When she is about to take the next step, she hears a crack, and quickly backs away as she sees the remains of an enclave soldier. Parts of the skull are exposed, as the jaw is slightly open. The eyes, which can be kinda seen, are skuken inwards the skull. One of the wings is also peaking out and open, with some of its feathers still attached to it, alongside its skin. The suit itself is also a bit rusted, with some missing parts. One of the legs is also presumably underground a bit.
Wing Crasher, who also now sees the corpse, looks slightly disturbed by it, and slightly his head. Though after years of being a raider, there are some moments where he still felt gross out by some bodies, including some that still have some skin or hair left.
Then a odd radio plays
“Rina..”
“It’s not my radio, maybe something else?” Rina looks around as well, looking for the source of the sound.
Wing flew up in the sky a bit, to see if any sprite bots are nearby “Maybe, tho I don’t see anything out of the ordinary”.
“Due to some odd sighting, you don’t think the Enclave is back, right? Rina asked, her cyan mane and tail are slightly moved by the wind.
Wing Crasher responded “I don’t know, it’s been 20 years since they last been spotted, plus we have no idea where they are now”
Rina Flightline then asked if he remembers anything about any Enclave activity since he was a colt, and the fact he’s a pegasus, in which Wing responded he barely remembers anything when he was little. His memory as a colt wasn’t good, as they are just blurry to him. Even the memories of his parents were unknown.
Though who knows, maybe his parents were part of the Enclave, tho if they were, can they just, come back to him?
The pegasi duo then sent the reports to the residents of New Appleloosa, stating they haven’t find any strange activity besides some radio frequency. Speaking of the radio, Rina did tried to tune in of wheres the channel is coming from, and the only thing that did came out clear was a few words, words that she barely make out
and its almost sounds like this “testing testing…..contact….Commander Jetfi….reporting…”
Commander Jet what now? Rina may need to take some quick notes before she forgets, perhaps it may be important in the future.
