Aim Properly! In United Equestrian Guard friendship is made of steel, sweat and pain!

Do you think everywhere is as friendly as Equestria? Do you think you can just hug a Timberwolf? Of course not! You’ve only just started your training but don’t you worry. After your intense close combat training you will be able to embrace a Timberwolf with such crushing power it will break him like a twig. However, hugs alone will not help you against more unfriendly odds. Luckily, we have at our disposal a number of state-of-the-art gadgets ready to assist you in safeguarding your friendly tail.

Observe carefully! As you metticulously watch your own mundane form being enhanced by the standard issue UEG uniform, do not be distracted by your own overwhelming sense of fanciness. What you are wearing is a precious piece of military ingeniousness. If you find your hat to be too tall, don’t get caught up in your precious fashion sense. In fact, it is good you dislike your new apparel. It might just save your life once an evil unicorn tries to pin you with a magic bolt. The enemy can’t accurately hit you if he aims for your hat, believing you to be much taller than you really are.

While you might despise your hat, do not let that idea spread to the rest of your kit! Especially your closest companion, your brand new Shimmer-Spark Mk I bolt-action rifle. Just because you can’t fly does not mean you can’t fight a floating pile of pure unfriendliness high above the ground. As I’ve said! Aim properly! You will repeat this to yourself every time before you fire. Every miss can cost you invaluable time because you have to put the rifle down and slide the bolt carrier back to eject the shell casing and load in a fresh round from the magazine. Magazine which hold 5 rounds I should mention. We don’t trust you yet with the 8 round Mark II, Mark III or even this shiny new Mark IV looking glass rifle. First, prove you truly cherish your armament. That rifle is your new best friend and friendship is the ultimate weapon to which you can trust your life.

Please, follow every point of the safety checklist:

1. Before carrying your rifle through a friendly zone, ensure the magazine is removed.
2. After sliding the bolt carrier back and removing the magazine, ensure there is no live round in the chamber and/or has been properly ejected.
3. Ensure your rifle has a safety cork firmly pressed into the muzzle of the rifle, even when it is unloaded.
4. As you enter an unfriendly zone, reload your rifle but keep the safety cork in.
5. Remove the cork only if you intend to shoot.
6. Do not aim at anypony/animal/flower if you do not intend to shoot.
7. Do not put your hoof on the trigger if you do not intend to shoot.
