Maxilla Muertos’ necromantic legion consists mostly of skeletal donkeys/ponies. They are given life via a process of painting “day of the dead” style runes and markings onto the bones. This means that in order to be animated, the corpse must be totally skeletal. Meaning that fresh kills won’t be able to be revived, meaning the bulk of the undead forces are obtained via graverobbing. Meaning that most graveyards in Burrochica are hotspots of necromantic activity.
Roughly 30% of the legion’s forces are comprised of actual living donkeys that practice necromancy, and the remaining 70% are comprised of the risen undead.
