Im worried for my beloved Shining, nothing has been the same since the wedding in Canterlot he lives in constant fear to lose me again i have told him to forget about it that nothing will separate us but is useless he doesn’t listen to me some times i feel like i don’t mean anything to him, that i’m just a trophy, a bird in a giant cristal cage, i miss him so much … he hasn’t slept in our bed he prefers to patrol the kingdom, my biggest fear is that is that he will do something horrible … something that he will regret i can feel it … tomorrow morning i’ll call him to see how is he doing.
P.S. Sent a letter to Twilight, it’s been a while and i need the advice of a friend.

There’s always that one guy
From what they’ve seen, the royal guard really doesn’t have any reason to think that changelings are anything other than lowly, parasitic, and altogether disposable always-chaotic-evil monsters that the world would be better off without.
“wipe them all out, for the preservation of our blue and pure Equestria!
Same voice actor…
Shining, I do believe I can be of assistance here.
and she is also one of THEM!!!!!
B-but, she’s Shining Armor’s daughter!
Would you leave an opening for one of your most dangerous enemies to attack you? I certainly wouldn’t.
Especially when the enemy’s entire schtick revolves around deception. You can’t trust anything they say or do, so why bother listen?
To play devils advocate, would most ponies give the changlings the chance to talk peaceably?
Or would they drive them out at the earliest opportunity?
Which will the hole Rocket to Insanity left unfilled, so hooray. >:D
Some of us remember the horrors of diplomacy with the Bushwoolies. She only did us all a service in the end.
@Kazapsky
If that tossed salad is trying to stab me with a fork, such a result may be in order.
To be fair, its applicability to Canon is debatable even by the words of its creator.
i see, you didn’t read the official comic.
Compromise only functions when both sides are willing to try in good faith.
There is no good faith on the part of the changelings - they have been shown at every turn to be openly malevolent towards ponies. You can’t negotiate with someone who wants you ground to dust under their heel, period.
I don’t have to dismiss your argument, because you don’t have a valid argument to dismiss.
Oh no, no, no. You aren’t dismissing my argument that easily.
You are assuming that at least one side isn’t sapient, when in fact both sides clearly are. Along with that, the changelings have shown an explicit ability to communicate with the ponies.
As such, the whole ‘predator vs. prey’ argument does not apply. Sheep and wolves do not have a choice since nether can communicate with each other, see?
When you bring in two sapient species, there is no reason why a compromise cannot be reached, even if it may be very difficult.
To drive the point hone-
Genocide is never justified, even if you believe it’s for the greater good
