Jayene the griffon is OC commission ^^

She is made out of Shannon minky fabrics, has machine embrodiered details on her face, beak, claws, forearms, chest , wings, toe beans and tail! Her tiny claws are mostly handstitched :)

I would like to share few thoughts on her :)

As you can see this is quite unique character for me. The plush patterning/embroideries etc are fully developed ad created by me. Once I first saw this character I thought she was very pretty design, quite complex and difficult for my current plushie exprience. Something challenging to work on on many levels (it’s pretty small plushie, measuring 18” long claws to toes, has tons of tiny details and different body shape). I knew it was something that would teach me a lot new things about plush making and I wasn’t wrong! Well, I was a bit wrong because creating this plushie (including tests, patterning, embroidery testing, some stupid mistakes by my fault 😅) took me nearly 3 times as much time as I primarily estimated… But I wasn’t wrong on other things and I feel like I learnt so much from this commission! I would like to develop and create more characters different that ponies so I think this little blue plushie will be a new beginning of my plushmaking path :)
