thats how the world works, theres nothing we can do about it, and the few things we can do, would likely cause the cancelation of the show.
 
not to mention that the staff has worked whit some idiotic things (aka: safe) and still make them enjoyable.

As far as I know, that reddit post hasn’t been proven. The fact that they mentioned Twilight becoming an alicorn but didn’t say anything about her becoming a princess makes me think it was just some good guessing by a clever troll, though I wouldn’t bet money on that possibility either. Derpy’s presence or absence in s4 will go a long way to determining whether the unprovable assertions in that post should be trusted.

that brings to mind something I did like that hasn’t really been brought up thanks to the incredible pools of drama around the shipping and such. Magic is the reason Equestria doesn’t have half the shit the ‘human’ world does. Or at least that’s what we can infer from they supposedly being at the same points in their timelines, and yet have such radically different technology. So either that was planned long ago even during S1, or they’ve been reading some fan theories and not letting on that they did.  
It kind of lends credence to some of the ideas that were put forth during S2 after that arcade machine appeared in the show.

The only way I could see how Earth and humanity could’ve been done well is if they would’ve put it in juxtaposition to the world of Equestria. That would give us both world-building, and an interesting message, i.e. how a world full of chaos (our world) can still thrive, or something.
 
Finally, do recall that it has been stated that Hasbro is taking a more direct control of the show, which translates into “the marketing department is taking a more direct control of the show.” That means they’re not gonna go with things that are interesting or creative - that means they’re gonna go with things that are known to be “safe” in bringing in money.

none of that shit will nesesarily happen, the writters have a thing for making awesomesauce out of ridicoulous premises.  
even if it does hapen, i trust them to do it as best as they can.

BRAD is a pony already, look at the trailer again, most likely he doesnt even know whats beyond the mirror.

As for my opinion: “Brad” seems like a reactionary character, in that he is only their to be reacted to by the main characters. This isn’t bad in-and-of-itself, but unless he has really quirky traits, he’ll just be a generic love-interest™

I’m not assumeing that you’re correct, but I’m not going all gun ho over it and thinking it’s all good no matter what, like you are doing about it being bad, I’m calm about it.

No, agreed, I don’t know. But neither do you. You’re optimistic, I’m pessimistic. I, for the life of me, cannot see how a love interest will be a good thing for the show. You apparently can, and fine, I can respect that. But don’t automatically assume that you’re correct - they might do it, and you’ll be gagging with disgust.

Why it will detract:  
-less focus on interpony friendship  
-more focus to TwilightxBrad  
-focus on them reminiscing about Earth  
-possibly episodes devoted to the entire thing
