Featuring Euphony, the daughter of Discord and Celestia.
Equestria’s inhabitants were not thrilled to see the unification of their beloved Princess Celestia and the “reformed” Discord. They were even less thrilled when Celestia announced their pregnancy.
The ponyfolk passed rumors “A child of two of the most powerful beings in Equestria? Is that truly safe for us” some whispered. “Discord’s offspring? What chaos will come of this?” “has this been Discord’s plan all along? To produce a powerful heir to do what he could not?” Others voiced.
Celestia and Discord, two eternal beings, surely deserved the joy of bringing new live into the world. Their subjects will come to understand that and one day, they will love the heir to the Sun Throne.
Celestia decided on the name Euphony (euphony \YOO-fuh-nee\ noun. 1 : pleasing or sweet sound; especially : the acoustic effect produced by words so formed or combined as to please the ear. 2 : a harmonious succession of words having a pleasing sound.) in the hopes it would ease her subjects’ minds. Raising their child, in the eyes of the ponies would be Euphony’s parents’ biggest challenge yet.
“We mustn’t hide her from them” Celestia said.
“What if they call her a monster like me?” Discord argued.
Fortunately, for everypony, Euphony was a picture perfect princess.
Unfortunately, for Euphony, she was incredibly smart and keen on her parents’ and future subjects’ worries. She MUST be kind, caring, the epitome of perfection. She didn’t want to let anyone down. Charity work, public greetings, sitting in on the Royal Court.
Euphony struggles with being this perfect version of herself for the public eye. At some point, in her early teens, Discord senses this and convinces Celestia to send Euphony to Ponyville and out of the eye of the judging Canterlot ponyfolk, to make friends and also to find herself.
Euphony stays with Princess Twilight, meets the rest of the next gen cast and gets to experience her own happiness.
