They are japanese, of course they are weird.
In some cases, yeah. But some artists already have westernized names they use on tumblr or DA or wherever. And sometimes the translations come out weird as hell.
You could just translate the moon letters you know? I mean, the kanji at the end might make it a bit harder, but in general translating the names is a pretty one step thing.
