Lately there has been a lot of hubbub going around about weird crystal mutans attacking the Crystal Kingdom. Twilight wasn’t worried at first, since she felt like with Shining and Cadence at the front they’d get the issue under control. Hope things go well!
Apparently the situation with the Crystal mutans got worse. From what Twilight has told me the mutans can infect others, turning them into braindead zombies, that’s a little scary. I keep checking up on her to make sure she’s okay, and as much as she tries to hide it her constantly chewing on her mane tells me all I need to know on how she exactly feels about this issue.
Things have somehow gotten worse, the Crystal Kingdom is in full lockdown right now. But Twilight is constantly sending letters to check up, the time between replies are slowly getting longer and longer. She’s barely getting any sleep…. I just hope things take a turn for the better… for everyone’s sake…
It took a turn for the worse, much worse then I could ever imagine… When I received a long awaited reply back from the Crystal Kingdom I went straight to Twilight. Hoping it would be good news… I wished I looked over the contents before handing it to her.
Shining’s dead…. He got infected during a mission to clear out the mutans. Cadence tried her best to heal or even slow down the infection but Shining took matters into his own hooves…. Twilight won’t stop wailing like a banshee, she’s completely broken now. She doesn’t know what to do…. I’ll ask the others over for some help.
Had more ideas for the AU and I needed to give like a reason behind why Twilight decided to lock ponyville down with her magic. Since that’s a pretty extreme move, considering there was a likely hood they could’ve used the elements to handle the issue.
Twilight wasn’t really thinking clearly or at all at this point, she was grieving and very much afraid of losing anyone else. So she went nuclear. Just shutting down completely and casting a barrier around ponyville with a spell that basically uses her as the never ending source of magic.
I’ll try and elaborate more on a future post (if i even make one lmao) but here’s my infected AU so far c:
