Tamers has been an “underground” animator on youtube for the passed ten years now. He’s only made Sonic Underground cartoons for a small audience, rarely breaking 20,000 views per video, but has been steadfast with it, putting out full-length cartoons every two weeks. He’s only been making pony content starting this May. I think there’s sort of been a build-up of good will that’s finally come out through this most recent movie. It’s undeniable how hard he works, and I think people really want to see him succeed.

Why is it getting a bunch of art? - I can’t say for sure, like I said I don’t feel particularly strongly about her, but I guess I’m in the minority. I’d guess being very early-fandom feeling is part of the appeal of the character and the animations.

Not that I’m against all this new Tamers art, but I am slightly surprised it was the standard Twilight/Trixie fusion OC that got everyone’s attention.
