May be shy makes a book-fort between shelves and lives there.
Codependency induces loyalty, does it not?
I’m convinced that Twilight and Spike didn’t act so close in the beginning, because Twilight really did just see him as her assistant. Maybe deep down she cared about him more than that, but it wouldn’t come to the surface unless he was in danger. Now that she’s no longer an introvert with limited social skills (and they went through a bunch of wacky adventures together), she acknowledges that he’s her friend and probably realizes he means more than that to her too.
I do think it still takes a major event for her to truly understand her feelings for Spike, whatever they may be.
That’s what I meant. He’s extremely loyal to Twilight, so the element of loyalty fits him quite well.
If anything, I’d say it’s the other way around. Spike’s loyalty to Twilight has never faltered. The only time that he left her was when he thought he was no longer needed or wanted.
Right! The whole joke of him being the new Rainbow Dash, isn’t actually that far off considering his loyalty to Twilight.
The fact that he went through the mirror when he didn’t have to should say something.
