Description

From the Tumblr page of G5 wiki:
“Among the LinkedIn pages of the animators and artists that were involved with Tell Your Tale there is one detail many of them share: they were laid off from Lil Critter Workshop around the same time.
In fact, it appears that many of them were laid off throughout March and April.
Back in late February and early March, TYT was reverted back to a bi-weekly schedule despite plans to continue with weekly releases. The lay-offs could be why the schedule was changed, and it could bolster the claim that not every episode that was ordered may be completed. Hasbro may have wanted to stretch out what episodes they had left with bi-weekly releases.”

I think it’s much more likely that s2 was completed around that time, and with TYT not returning for s3 (seemingly), that’s why this happened.
As far as the release going from weekly to biweekly, it’s probably related to that “Ponyverse” thing being scrapped around that time, and Hasbro realizing that if they didn’t stretch s2’s release schedule, they wouldn’t have any content for 2025 (since supposedly they’re planning 2026 to be the “year of the pony” or something like that)
