Well…as harsh as I may have sounded it’s all sadly true. I’m just saying when you look into America’s history…it ain’t very pretty…some are going to judge purely on that,some won’t. Though when consider it country to country then the twisting words of government on top of it all…then you just got a whole shitstorm going on,and until government in general gets better…gonna stay like this,for most countries sadly.

Really now, it’s not that bad. Sure, there are quite some, who have a rather one-dimensional view towards Americans (as Rpground demonstrates, whether he is sincere or not), but we aren’t American-hating masses. At my job training, there was an American and nobody was hating on him (now, one could claim that was because he was black and as minority not judged as harshly, but I highly doubt that).
 
I think what some people are doing wrong is that they equate the government with the people, even though they should know better. It’s perfectly possible to condemn American politicians and the same time to be civil towards American people. Like one guy at my training did. He is negative towards America, but was very fond of the American at our training (which is notable, considering that he clashed with a lot of people).
 
Mind you, I’m talking about Europe, more precisely Germany here. I guess things are a bit more tricky in the Middle East.

Well,you probably wouldn’t have most of the world hate you if you weren’t all pricks. You can make fun of us,but if we make fun of you “HOW DARE YOU MAKE FUN OF ’MURICA!”. That and you stick your noses into other peoples buisness when its not needed. That and you people are very tyrannical and controlling. Banana Wars is one,a war just because a company wanted to control the export of bananas…

I’m staying put to be perfectly honest. If the rest of the world hates us, I say lets stop donating money to relief efforts in other countries, put embargos on shipping jobs over seas, and just keep to ourselves.

As an American, I wouldn’t go anywhere near the Middle East to begin with. That’s practically begging for trouble. I probably wouldn’t visit Europe either seeing how anti American sentiment is growing down there.
 
Guess that really just leaves a few parts of Asia and South America.

The “A-OK” (circled thumb and index finger) gesture is another one to be careful of - fine in Western Europe and America, but in some Mediterranean and South American countries it can mean “asshole” or “homosexual”. It’s also seen as a threatening gesture in some Middle Eastern countries.

Ah yes, it’s amazing that such common gestures of friendliness are shown as hostile in other countries.  
Also, I think that things that are rude here can be seen as polite elsewhere, but I’m not sure.

And in Greece, it’s polite to show the palms of your hands at people.
