As to the differences in Flags. The One I posted below was changes to the One Above due to the confusion between the Stars & Bars, and the Stars & Stripes.
 
AS to the Blood Stained Banner..? I wasn’t aware that Richmond still cared. As by ’65 the War was virtually a done deal.

Good points, but when was the last time anyone ever brought any of this up in your history class? Sadly it wasn’t in my case. In fact if I think about it now I think we covered the Vietnam War more then the Civil War. Other then lol the South were all slave whipers ya know just for teh lulz… Till Lincoln showed up and was liek noooooo….
 
But, its always bugged the hell outta me that the Civil War was way to fixated on Virgina, Maryland and Pennsylvania. When there was way more sh– going down elsewhere.

What about the “Bonny Blue Flag”, or the “Bloodstained Banner” that was the last to be adopted officially?  
Also what about the Anaconda Plan or the Monitor-Merrimack/Virginia at Hampton Roads? (Yeah, while I disapprove of the CSA’s modus vivendi and know that the war was mostly caused by economic factors–New England was almost as likely to secede–I do my research, and admit there was a certain flash and style to Southern officers and life.)

So yeah the Clifnote version of the American Civil War (1861 ~ 1865) Slavery is um-bad The big players Lee, Sherman and grant were the only Generals you need to know. Neither side had much of a Navy (HURRR), and pretty much of the South that wasn’t Virgina or Maryland was of no importance. New Orleans or Vicksburg? Hell not even Lee thought they were worth saving.
 
Really for the love of Celestia, either find a decent History Teacher. Or study this part of History on your own, and above all learn to draw your own conclusions. But a Country of rationally thinking People

I wish People would stop referring the Army of Northern Virgina Standard as the Confederate Flag… Its almost as poorly informed that the whole thing had been fought over cause of MUH SLAVES! Hurrr….

That’s official, the one above was the war flag. (I’m a history buff, BTW, not a Southerner.)

Nevermind, it’s the flag of Alabama, someone I knew kept telling me it was a confederate flag.

I see a different version of the confederate flag everywhere where I live. They even have them in the Walmarts.
