The Crystal ponies scatter aimlessly, Rainbow dash, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Apple Jack and Fluttershy head for the Crystal castle. Sombra rises as a cloud of black smoke behind them, just then a cage of black crystals pierce through the earth and the ponies are cornered into a dead end.
Sombra arrives, a thundering laughter echoes through the kingdom. An instrumental Ballard starts.

Sombra: (deep slow singing voice)
Five little ponies, nowhere to hide, nowhere to run
-Little do they know the nightmare has just begun (menacing chuckle),

Sombra: For over a thousand years I’ve been imprisoned in the ice,
Then the Crystal empire paid the ultimate price
And now I’m free to live again and make their lives a living hell…

Rarity (spoken): What have you done to our friend Twilight, you beast?

Sombra: (whisper) -The same thing I will do to you as well….

Sombra: Lovely Rarity, the fairest one of all
For every flower blossom, a little snow must fall

Sombra: Precious little Pinkie Pie, so full of love and cheer,
You giggle at the ghostly, you laugh at the face of fear.
