mono can mean many things such as monkey or, in this case, a figurine. It’s a Mexican I don’t know if any other countries celebrate it traditional dessert for the 6th of January. It’s an oval-shaped sweet bread with little kid figurines inside it. The theme is to get your piece and check if you got the figurine, if you did, you have to contribute to the tamale costs for a February 2nd party along with all the other people who got the figurine.
The joke here is that applebloom did not check her bread for the hard plastic figurine and is currently choking on it.
