Well the queen haven/alphabittle relationship doesn’t bother me personally, besides them being an a good relationship, would mean their nations won’t even try to be at war with each other.

True, and Queen Haven seems to approve.
But it’s only willing to get away with that because it’s taking it non-seriously (only those who already ship them seeing it as anything). It took until the end of G4 to get serious about ships and G5 has only a fraction of that boldness.
It’s possible, but more likely the show will avoid doing any serious romance than risk that.

I picked up more chemistry between Comet and Misty as the socially awkward ones.
But after ANG, Izzy’s flanderized lacking the nuances that would make shipping her with Sunny (or anyone else) appealing, they could still have them (the comics had that in the initial arc), but for now…
