If the internet arguments are getting to you, then it’s better to turn off the internet and do something else for a while. Stuff like this only reminds me of what’s going on and they’ll eventually bring the argument to this picture. Nothing changes, everybody leaves peeved.
 
By now, we all know how the internet works and how everything they don’t like can be blown up tenfold. People can get first impressions from what they see; it’s only natural that they’ll share how they feel. Yes, you do have the privileged of doing that with this picture as well, but again, it spreads the drama that you abhor in the first place.
 
To be honest, stuff like this always seemed sort of smug to me, even if that wasn’t the intention. I especially hate pictures of some anon munching on popcorn or stroking his e-dick as the drama unfolds, sticking him on a high pedestal and letting us know oh so subtly that he’s enjoying all this drama.
 
tl;dr: do something else and come back to the internet later, you’ll feel better

Okay, how about we just compare the whole Equestria Girl situation to the Transformers movies and move on already.
 
We all are going to get a bad taste for thinking of it, but will watch it anyways cause its MLP.

From what I’ve seen… I don’t think this movie will be too good… And I can honestly say I’m one of the people who say it will suck. But I’m still going to see it mostly because of how unappealing it seems to me! XD I want a good laugh, and I’m sure this thing will have its good moments in it, so I will be looking out for those just to appreciate something

Same here.

The problem is that there’s “straw” arguments that will inevitably come from ALL sides. The supporters will always say “stop being a hypocrite, you gave ponies a shot and like it” while the haters will always be “SHUT UP AND PULL HASBRO’S DICK OUT OF YOUR MOUTH.”
 
Us inbetweeners? I don’t give a crap. I’ll give the movie a shot, sure, but I’m reserving all judgment until I actually see it.

Well it’s more about how A) the movie is claimed to be non-canon or at the very least will not carry elements into Season 4; B) We knew of this for awhile so the worst of the steam has already been blown. I imagine there will be a bit of rage for a day, it will pass and then come back when the movie’s out only to eventually burn out.

If you keep blindly supporting things you don’t agree with just because you’re afraid of being considered a “trouble maker” or because you don’t think it’s worth it, then you’re gonna have a BAD TIME.

Despite so many things calling it a spinoff if you look at what they say it is stated as being just the one special(it may be shown in a few theater but it’s not a movie) nothing more.
