Yeah, when does that arc take place?
The comics keep selling well and IDW’s license for MLP has not expired. What makes you think the comics are going to magically disappear just because the show goes off the air? If anything, the comic will be more popular than ever with newly displaced bronies flocking to it for sustinance.
GI Joe Renegades was canceled like 2 years ago, but IDW still publishes GI Joe comics because they make money and fans love them.
Okay that’s it. These are people who are trying to do their jobs and there are some of those same people who gave us this show to begin with who are going to leave and never come back. And with it, the IDW comic series, the ones you deem the TRUE season 3 will cease to exist. Do you want that bboifatz? Or any one of you? Do you honestly WANT that? Cut DHX, Meghan McCarthy, M. A. Larson, Amy Rogers, Daniel Ingram and all the others who helped bring MLP out of the shadows some fucking SLACK!
It was probably sometime during season 3 that the comics surpassed the show, however it was the season 3 finale that really made me realize it. The show has been going downhill since Faust left, but the comics show no signs of losing their way.
I think it happened a while ago actually.
There’s a lot of things the show doesn’t have balls for, mostly because DHX has Hasbro breathing down their necks and taking more control now. The comic staff remains safely outside of Hasbro’s direct control though, so there is still hope. Hasbro at least knows better to mess with IDW’s creative freedom, and it would appear they are content with just getting the royalty checks. I think Hasbro just sees the comic as a piece of licensed merchandise, unlike the show which they see as a means of pushing merchandise.
Yeah, man. Ponies don’t have the balls to have a Charles Manson pony in their show.
Conratulations BP, you’re the new MLP loremaster.
