“Obviously this is a very unfortunate case. I’ve known Moondancer personally for years and I never could have suspected her of a crime like this. The media is calling it a spy ring, but personally wouldn’t use such a harsh word to describe it. This smuggling ring, as I prefer to call it, has apparently been operating for years, right under our noses. Just because she was working with her own alternate reality self does not make this crime any less serious” the princess explained in our interview. She continued “I really hate seeing her imprisoned over this, but crimes like this simply cannot go unpunished. While I won’t completely repeal her sentence, I will use my powers to reduce its length as much as possible. I will also work with Starlight Glimmer to personally ensure that Moondancer will be rehabilitated as best as possible, and she will be a good member of the Equestrian society again one day. That is my duty as the princess of friendship. However, our Moondancer is not the problem. The real problem is two-fold. First, are there other smuggling rings like this in operation? During the interrogations, both Moondancers claimed they had no knowledge of other ponies who could be involved in operations like this. Second, the interdimensional scandal this incident has created is going to be very messy to deal with.” the Princess then went on a twenty-minute monologue about various interdimensional problems which we’ve chosen not to reproduce here.

It’s a silly idea, I know. Those background bookshelves were traced from Amending Fences and it took ages to do. Way, way too long, to be honest.

No canon G4 style for G1 Moondancer exists (d’oh, obviously) outside of those few panels in that one IDW comic, so I had to come up with one myself. Only others can tell me if I succeeded.
