the name is “Ontological Paradox” but it’s not really a logical contradiction at all. stable time loops are “paradox-lite”. time travel inherently violates the sequence of cause and effect, just as much a paradox as teaching yourself time travel, so if the latter blows up the universe, then the doctor isn’t a time traveller at all.

It’s an ontological paradox. She only has the information she needed to time travel (i.e., the existence and location of a spell for time travel) because her time-traveling self gave it to her. To make the paradox clearer, consider if her future self gave her an apple, which she then gave to her past self. Where did the apple come from?
